The series Dolls was inspired by an advertisement I saw for Barbie.  The idea behind the advertisement was  that Barbie shows girls they can be whatever they want to be. As a response to this, I wanted to show that today, not everyone is lucky enough to be what they want to be. My photos feature dolls and myself organizing them into a scene that some women are forced into today, even though it is often not what they aspire to be.
The series Impressions explores the relationship between painting and photography through the use of light.  Inspired particularly by the impressionism movement, the photos, captured on 35mm black and white film, depict ordinary objects (lighters, windows, street lights, etc.) being turned into a work of art.
